The technique provides a reliable measurement for the full range of mercury concentrations in natural gas, from ng\/m<sup>3<\/sup>\u00a0to mg\/m<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\">RA-915M analyzer can be also used separately for real-time mercury measurement in ambient and indoor air. Other <a href=\"https:\/\/artinazma.net\/en\/lumex-company\/\">Lumex<\/a> Instruments attachments are available to extend RA-915M functionality (PYRO-915+\u00a0for thermal decomposition technique,\u00a0RP-92\u00a0for Cold Vapor technique).<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"inner\"><strong>PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION<\/strong><\/div>\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Atomic absorption spectrometry\u00a0at 254 nm wavelength with Zeeman correction for background absorption provides the most selective and sensitive analysis without matrix effects.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The highest selectivity of Zeeman technique and low detection limit allow direct analysis without preliminary precipitation and collection of mercury in absorption traps. Mercury in hydrocarbons poses a number of technological and environmental problems including Hg exposure to humans, contamination of environment and equipment. Mercury also initiates corrosion of equipment and catalyst poisoning during gas transportation and processing.
