IVKAZ Demercaptanization/Desulfurization Catalyst
IVKAZ is a highly effective and economical catalyst for the treatment of various sulfur compounds including hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans and other harmful sulfur compounds in petroleum and petroleum derivatives and industrial effluents.
IVKAZ Demercaptanization Catalyst
Licensed by VNIIUS Kazan | Equivalent to Merox WS and EUROPHTHAL 8020
The IVKAZ catalyst is a highly efficient and cost-effective solution for the removal of sulfur-containing compounds such as hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, and other organic sulfur species from crude oil, petroleum fractions, and industrial effluents.
Designed with advanced Russian technology, IVKAZ provides exceptional performance in sweetening and demercaptanization processes, covering a wide range of hydrocarbon feeds—from light gases to heavy petroleum fractions.
Applications
Alkaline treatment of crude oil and condensates for H₂S and mercaptan removal
LPG purification and desulfurization
Direct refining of light naphtha cuts (62–180°C) with high sulfur content
Treatment of condensates and light hydrocarbons containing mercaptans
Mercaptan removal from pentane and hexane fractions
Desulfurization of industrial wastewater containing H₂S and organosulfur compounds
Advantages
High efficiency in sulfur removal
Excellent performance in alkaline environments
Long operational lifetime with regeneration capability
Effective across a broad feed range (light hydrocarbons to heavy oil)
Removes H₂S, COS, and CS₂ simultaneously
Environmentally friendly and compliant with global standards
Artiin Azma Mehr Company, as the official and exclusive representative of VNIIUS(Russia), has successfully established the licensed production line of IVKAZ Demercaptanization Catalyst in Iran, combining VNIIUS 70 years of experience in Russia with the energy and expertise of young Iranian engineers.
These catalysts are successfully applied in South Pars Gas Refinery, Kharg Petrochemical, Persian Gulf Star Refinery, Bidboland Gas Refinery, and the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI).
IVKAZ catalysts have been implemented in over 40 refinery projects across Iran, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands, under official license and process design from the original IVKAZ technology.
