Hydrotreating Unit Catalyst
Product Type
A catalyst for removing sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen compounds from petroleum fractions. It is used in refineries to produce ultra-low-sulfur motor fuels from middle distillates. This catalyst enables the reduction of sulfur content in fuels to extremely low concentrations (less than 10 ppm).
The product is available in tri-lobe extrudates with a diameter of 2 to 3 mm, as well as in quad-lobe shapes. It contains active components of cobalt-molybdenum or nickel-molybdenum.
Advantages
- High hydrodesulfurization and hydrodenitrogenation capacity at the level of top global standards
- High concentration of active components (up to 23 wt.% molybdenum trioxide)
- Reusability after regeneration
- High mechanical strength
Applications
The hydrotreating catalyst is used as a fixed bed and is equipped with PC-series protective layers. This catalyst can be regenerated 1 to 2 times during its service life.
Engineering Services
The Artin Azma Mehr process engineering team supports refinery and petrochemical engineering teams in the following areas:
- Evaluating the process of existing commercial hydrotreaters and providing recommendations for improving unit performance
- Developing operational procedures for efficient unit operation
- Offering technical support prior to production (pre-commissioning, catalyst loading, and activation), as well as overseeing startup until stable operation is achieved
- Monitoring hydrotreating performance
- Preparing technical reports on the performance of process units with recommendations for more efficient operations
