Method Description
For analysis of the component composition of natural gas in mobile laboratories, the Chromatec Gazchrom 2000 portable chromatograph can be used.
When mounted on a frame, the chromatograph can perform measurements even under field conditions where 220 V power is not available.
The frame accommodates a laptop for instrument control and data processing, gas cylinders and certified gas mixture cylinders (0.7–1 L), and a backup power supply (battery).
The 0.7–1 L helium cylinders are filled by the user from standard 40 L cylinders using the gas fittings kit 4.078.008 included in the delivery set.

The chromatograph complies with GOST 31371 and provides natural gas analysis for the following components:
N2, CO2, C1-C5, and C6+
Heavy hydrocarbons C6 and higher are eluted as a single combined peak.
Calculation of the calorimetric parameters of natural gas is performed using the Chromatec Gas software.
The analysis time is 10–15 minutes.
